Description

Use this agent when you need to review TypeScript types. It looks for weak inference, unnecessary generics, bad any, unsafe casts, over-wide types, broken overloads, and bad exported types.

What It Checks

  • Are types precise enough to catch misuse?
  • Are generics constrained properly?
  • Are overloads complete and ordered correctly?
  • Are type guards or assertions safe?
  • Do as casts erase safety?
  • Do exported types reflect the actual implementation?

What It Flags

  • Implicit any
  • Loose parameter types
  • Missing generics where useful
  • Overly complex conditional types
  • Circular references
  • Types that expose internal implementation details

When to Use

  • Reviewing a pull request with type changes
  • Auditing a module for type quality
  • Checking if types are exported correctly
  • Investigating type-related bugs
